The Dreams Tent and Master of Nightmares

Mimo, the homeless boy, never imagined that he will be the reason for people’s happiness. His dream was solely to stop working as a shoe-shiner for them. The tent of dreams was in itself a dream, but the people insisted to see their dreams through the mirror, and strangely, that many of them did in fact see their dreams as is in that mirror and were sinking deeper into despair. They could’ve easily stopped believing these illusions especially that they were driven to believe them by the Master of Nightmares. When did it occur throughout history that tyrants bring anything but illusions and despair to the people?
