Diamond

A chapter from a Palestinian story with ongoing tragedy still… Soldier barriers everywhere, very similar to one another, as if they are one. However, is patience a culture? And is fear of open possibilities a culture? Does carbon always change into diamonds (Mas – plural of Masa meaning diamond in Arabic)? Does it ever cross our minds to work as a dream interpreter for earning half a sandwich? Could the cabbage be harvested and grandma’s dream come true? This is what Masa did when she gave Jawad his nickname ‘Cologne Knight’ after she discovers the smell of dates in her body! The apartheid wall however, has a story and a bitterness to it which never goes until the wall does.
